League Details

- The league will follow USAPA Official Pickleball Rules.
- Teams:
- All teams are two players + one alternate and ALL must be registered at the time of registration. Alternates CANNOT be added after initial registration.
- CoEd league teams: registration must consist of one male and one female player, with one alternate of any gender.
- Only registered players are eligible to participate in league matches.
- Teams may rotate all three players to play different games in a match, or choose to play only two players in a match. This is up to each team and both strategies are permitted and do not need to be the same for the two teams playing a match.
- A team member is eligible to play in the tournament only if they have played at least 4 games during the regular season. These 4 games may be spread across two or more matches.
- Teams may only substitute players during a single game if there is an injury.
- Each team must have a captain who is responsible for registering all team members, scheduling the time/location of their matches with opposing teams, and reporting scores to the league by the end of each week.
- Five weeks of Round Robin play:
- Teams will be scheduled to play a different team in their division each week.
- Schedule:
Week 1: 5/12 - 5/18
Week 2: 5/19 - 5/25
Week 3: 5/26 - 6/1
Week 4: 6/2 - 6/8
Week 5: 6/9 - 6/15 - Matches are a best-of-five-game series. Additional games are not required (or counted) once a team has won three games.
- Weekly matchups will be announced each Tuesday.
Schedules and standings will be made available via TeamReach. Team captains will receive the TeamReach code to share with their teams. - Standings are determined by team record. Ties are determined by head-to-head, then winning game percentage, then point differential.
- Match Rules:
- Matches must be played and scores reported by the team captain no later than 9 PM on the Sunday of that week. Exceptions can be made for only one additional day (Monday) with advance notice.
- If teams do not play their necessary matches within the Tuesday-Sunday window of each week, both will be issued a 0-3 result for that week’s match.
- If a team becomes unavailable after a match has been scheduled, the unavailable team can request to reschedule on a mutually agreed-upon date; however, if the available team cannot accommodate the rescheduling request, the unavailable team will be deemed to forfeit and issued a 0-3 result for that week.
- Game Rules:
- Games are played to 11 points; win by 2.
- Teams will flip a coin to determine the Serving Team and Side of the Court to start on, with teams switching sides at 6 points.
- Each team is permitted two 1-minute timeouts per game.
- Games are regulated by the players. All calls will be made by the team on the side of the court that the ball is being called on. Team members in attendance may assist in making calls for only the side of the court that their team is on.
- Tournament:
- After five weeks of round-robin play from May 12 to June 15, the top teams in each division move on to the championship tournament on Sunday, June 22. Location TBD.
- Depending on the number of registrations, divisions may be subdivided into two conferences, with only the winning team from each conference moving on to the tournament.
